How the placement process with the Triple Win programme works

Would you like to work as a nurse at a hospital or an elderly care institution in Germany? Triple Win holds the key to your nursing career in Germany – fair, safe and free of charge for you. Learn more about what you can do to prepare and the individual steps here.

As a registered nurse in Germany

In Germany, the occupation of registered nurse is a skilled job that requires training. Trainees learn how to nurse and care for people of all ages and in all situations.

As a participant on the Triple Win programme, you will work in nursing or elderly care, either at a hospital or in an elderly care institution. You will get a German employment contract with a fixed minimum salary, paid leave – and also have the opportunity to participate in regular further training.

To ensure we can offer the required level of support, we have offices in Germany and all our partner countries that are happy to help you with any questions you may have and the administrative formalities, both in your home country and in Germany.

How Triple Win Works

Complete your application on the website of the employment agency in your home country

In order to participate in Triple Win, you can apply to join the programme on the website of the employment agency in your home country. All the relevant information can be found under the “partner countries” menu item.

Interview with Triple Win

If you meet the requirements, we will invite you to an interview with the Triple Win team to get to know you.

Admission to the programme and start of the language course

If it suits both sides, we will invite you to join the programme. You will then start your language classes – you’ll learn the German language at a language school or through an online course at home.

Job interviews with employers in Germany – organized by and with support from Triple Win

We will organize interviews for you at hospitals and elderly care institutions in Germany. Most of these take place online, but some employers also travel to the partner country for in-person interviews. Your interview was a success? Congratulations – your new job awaits!

Preparing for your move, B1 language certificate, professional and administrative preparation

At this stage, we work hard to prepare you for your new life in Germany. You will study for the B1 language certificate, attend a course on nursing and receive guidance on all of the relevant formalities for your arrival in Germany.

Leaving your home country and getting started in Germany

Welcome to Germany! Your new employer is responsible for your induction and integration into your new role and team. From this point on, our team in Germany is available to help you. We can support you with administrative formalities and guide you through the process of getting your professional qualifications recognized together with your employer. You will attend another German language course in which you will study for the B2 language certificate.

Living and working in Germany


Germany is one of the world’s leading economies situated in the heart of Europe. It is renowned for its high standard of living, fair working conditions and excellent social security and healthcare system.


The Federal Republic is also family friendly and supports families with Parental Allowance and Child Benefit, for instance, as well as up to 14 months of parental leave. As a qualified nurse, you will have a good chance to stay in Germany permanently, and in the future, the option to bring family members over so that you can start a new life together.


Whether it’s mountains, lakes and forests, medieval castles, vibrant towns and cities or an international cultural scene – there is plenty to discover in Germany when you aren’t working. Germany’s central location also makes it an ideal starting point for exploring Europe.
